Today, I actually have tangible news for you. I turned Dawning in for its second round of edits at the end of October and heard back from the editor today. Worst case scenario, they assured me I’d get it back by November 21st.
Depending on what’s left…it was a major overhaul…it might take me a week to patch up and send back. After that, it should be all about making it read smooth with grammar. Then off to the proofers and finally to formatting. If this can all happen in a reasonable amount of time with zero hiccups, it could make publication by the end of the year.
On the off chance there are issues…which has been a thing with this book…January might have to do the trick. I’m sorry for all the delays with this project…there are several reasons for it…none of them great…me not being in a good headspace…problems finding the right people…things like that…in the end though, it’s on me and I’ll try to get back on track with the next book.
Speaking of which, I’ve delved into Shattered Peace, Vigiles Urbani Chronicles, Book 4, once more and I have to say, it’s turning out nicely. After turning in the edits for Dawning, I felt like a set of shackles were removed from me. Hard to explain…the important part is…Shattered Peace is moving at a quick pace, things are happening, and lots of answers you’ve been wanting are hitting the page in rapid succession.
To tie things up nicely here…I’ve got some new artwork from Lorri Davey. Please enjoy. Hope to have more for you soon.
